Japanese car maker Toyota has confirmed it will end car production in Australia in 2017, with the manufacturer blaming the high dollar. But was the decision expected? Jim Middleton speaks with Mark Fulthorpe, Senior Manager at IHS Automotive.


Motoring journalist Phil Branagan says Toyota's withdrawal from Australia was expected when Holden announced it will cease manufacturing, because the reduced market would make life too difficult for components suppliers.
